i am forever convinced that oh the places you’ll go is one of the best books of all times. i have read it hundreds of times and it never gets old. as i was going through a folder of random photos i took on my flight to new york i kept recalling lines and couldn’t help but to get weird with it.

“and you may not find any

you’ll want to go down.

in that case, of course

you’ll head straight out of town.

it’s opener there

in the wide open air.”

this entire autumn thus far has been an indian summer. as much as i am looking forward getting incredibly antsy to snuggle up in fall clothing and cozy up with candles and hot cocoa, this ongoing heat has been pretty enjoyable. especially since i finished the LSAT and once again have time to waste. here are a few photos from a show at the getty. if you are in southern california and have not yet been to this wonderful museum, i highly recommend you change that. like, yesterday.

This yogi was having a blast playing on the beams at Pacific Festival this past weekend. He was dancing and gracefully transitioning into poses that many struggle with on the ground. Up in the air. On make-shift beams. Fearless. You made my day, mister.

As I get older I am realizing that the best time spent with people is time spent doing a whole bunch of nothing. While I definitely still love exploring and going on adventures, some of my favorite memories from this summer have been days lying by the water, listening to music, chatting away, having drinks, and eating guacamole. A whole lot of guacamole. Last week my family and I disappeared to Mexico for a couple of days; it was the first time we had all been in such close proximity for an extended period of time since I was a freshman in college. 5 years later and the dynamics of our group are pretty much the same as they always have been. Some things never change, but I kind of like it that way. You all drive me absolutely insane and I cherish every minute of it. I love you!

This summer has been absolutely wonderous. Full of adventures, lazy days, warm weather, quite a bit too much booze, and generally speaking, amples of fun. Along with that came a lack of routine and well, not quite enough accountability or responsibility on my part beyond basic commitments. I must say that I am a-ok with that, though. This summer has felt blissfully close to those that I carelessly enjoyed in the years of my adolescence. It was inevitable that eventually it would end and I would be in the process of playing catching up, and settling back down into “real life”. That time has arrived. Here is a visual recap from the past month or so, via my iphone.
